Doderm Hydro RepairGel can be used for many different skin irritations in pets. It is important to know that doderm can support the skin in the indications listed below but is by no means a medicine that can prevent the cause of skin irritations. That is why we always recommend consulting a vet to tackle the cause. Below we have listed a few for you:

For horses:

- Sweet itch
- Mud fever
- Superficial abrasions
- Vasculitis
- CPL

For dogs:
- Hotspots
- Skin irritations because an allergic reaction
- Superficial abrasions
- Skin irritation after a tick bite

For best results, apply the skin gel twice a day. If you have a horse, this can sometimes be difficult because you cannot be at the stable yard twice a day. We then advise you to apply at least once a day.

The first results become visible after 3 to 5 days. After that, it is good to continue smearing until the skin has fully recovered (2 to 3 weeks on average).

No it doesn't. Our skin gel is antibiotic and cortisone free. With prolonged use of antibiotics, the skin can become resistant to the antibiotics and does not work anymore. And you want your pet to react to antibiotics in case of serious infections. For the benefit of humans, animals and the environment, we want to ensure less use of antibiotics and cortisone.

For best results, apply a thin layer of the gel to the skin 2 to 3 times a day. Due to the natural composition of Doderm Hydro RepairGel it can be used for a long time.

No, Doderm Hydro RepairGel does not contain cortisone. For certain skin irritations, a cortisone ointment is prescribed, but unfortunately, it not only targets the bad bacteria, but also the good bacteria and this disrupts the skin's microbiome. Because of the antibodies in the Doderm Hydro RepairGel, only the bad bacteria are neutralized and the microbiome of the skin is not further disturbed and nourished by our gel.

The Hydro RepairGel has a shelf life of 6 months after opening.

Unfortunately, there is no straightforward answer to this. It depends on the size of the irritation. If the irritation is limited to a small spot, you will use a bottle longer than if the irritation covers a large area. The Hydro RepairGel is easy to spread and certainly does not need to be applied thickly so you can easily do longer with 1 bottle. The Hydro RepairGel horse is now also available in a 100ml version, this is very suitable if your horse has a skin irritation in several places or one large spot.

Yes! We only use colostrum from the third milking, which is a waste product from dairy farming and often just thrown away! We think this is a great shame, because it still contains enough antibodies that we can use for the Doderm Hydro RepairGel. This way, the skin gel is sustainable as well.
